The Mixamo Auto-Rigger automatically creates a skeleton for your character and binds it to your character mesh or meshes. To explain the process, Mixamo has created a new modo 601 tutorial that shows the Auto-Rigging process on the Mixamo Warrior character created by John Hayes. Here is the pipeline: export from modo as FBX, upload to Mixamo, Auto-Rig and test online, download and import to modo, edit, pose or animate, then render in modo. The tutorial and a coupon code for modo users can be found at Mixamo’s website here. image courtesy John Hayes RUIN – AN ANIMATED SHORT Many modo community members have been tracking Wes Ball’s progress on RUIN, his amazing animated short set in a post-apocalyptic city. Well, it is now finished and the visuals and soundtrack are first rate. RUIN is an outstanding example of what talent, plus perseverance and great 3D tools, can create. We congratulate Wes and wish him continued success.
